Dubai: The total tally of COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar has climbed to 864,124, while total deaths have risen to 9,046.

Kuwait

Kuwait today reported 261 new cases of COVID-19 and one death, taking the total number of confirmed infections to 146,710, and total fatalities to 913.

An additional 242 patients have fully recovered, shooting up total recoveries to 142,599, the Ministry of Health said in its latest update on Monday.

The active cases have now touched 3,198, including 556 that are critical under intensive care treatment.

Oman

A further 215 people have tested positive for coronavirus cases in Oman on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infections in the Sultanate to 126,719.

According to the latest update by the Ministry of Health, three people succumbed to the infection, taking fatality tally to 1,475. An additional 218 patients have fully recovered, pushing total recoveries to 118,505.

The ministry urged everyone to adhere to social distancing protocols and precautionary measures in place to stem the COVID-19 pandemic.

Qatar

The Ministry of Public Health has confirmed the detection of 151 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total cases in Qatar to 141,272.

No new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, keeping the fatality tally at 241.

According to the ministry’s latest update, a further 200 patients have fully recovered, pushing the total number of people recovered from the virus across the country to 138,919. Active cases have now touched 2,112, including 250 that are stable under treatment, and 22 are critical under intensive care.

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia today recorded 142 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 deaths, taking the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 360,155 and deaths to 6,069.

According to the latest update by the Ministry of Health, a further 201 new recoveries were registered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people recovered from the virus to 350,993, with the recovery rate climbing to 97.43 per cent.

The active cases have declined to 3,093, out of which 476 that are critical under intensive care.

Bahrain

The single-day count of COVID-19 cases has dropped to 125 in Bahrain, while no new deaths have been reported.

This brings the total confirmed cases in the Kingdom to 89,268 and keeps fatality tally at 348. The Ministry of Health said the newly detected cases hours include 74 expatriate workers, 43 newly infected people after contacting active cases and eight are travel related infections.

The active cases have now touched 1,588, including 1,580 that are stable, 21 cases are still under treatment and eight are critical under intensive care. There were 150 fresh recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 87,332.
